Chapter 50 — Fortune’s Guidance

Two days later.

Li Tianyu was once again flying through the wilderness.

Crimson flames surrounded his body as he traveled across the sky at high speed.

The landscape below rapidly passed by.

He immediately focused his attention inward.

A faint wave of fortune aura spread through his aperture.

His eyes narrowed.

'Fortune is guiding me toward something.'

Balanced Fortune Gu didn't directly tell him what the opportunity was.

But Li Tianyu had already become familiar with this sensation.

Whenever his fortune reacted like this...

Something valuable was usually nearby.

Li Tianyu immediately stopped.

His body hovered motionlessly in the sky.

He didn't rush forward.

Instead, he activated his investigation killer move.

Invisible flames spread outward.

The man's expression changed.

"Inheritance?"

He immediately shook his head.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Li Tianyu's eyes became cold.

"I won't waste time with you."

The man remained silent.

Then—

His eyes flashed.

Suddenly!

He activated a flying Gu.

His body shot forward.

At the same time...

A strange fluctuation spread through the surrounding space.

Time Path.

Li Tianyu's eyes narrowed slightly.

The man's speed suddenly increased to an absurd level.

In an instant...

His figure disappeared.

Then—

He appeared directly behind Li Tianyu.

A time-path technique had accelerated his movement to the point where it seemed as though he had teleported.

The man extended his hand.

But before he could launch his attack—

Boom!

A fist slammed directly into his face.

His body was sent flying downward like a meteor.

BOOM!

He crashed into the earth.

The ground shattered.

Dust and debris exploded outward.

The man's body rolled several meters before finally stopping.

He was stunned.

He slowly raised his head.

His face was filled with disbelief.

'How...'

He had accelerated himself with a Time Path Gu worm.

His movement should have been impossible to react to for an ordinary Rank Three Gu Master.

Yet...

Li Tianyu had simply punched him.

Li Tianyu descended slowly from the sky.

He hovered several meters above the ground.

"Don't waste my time."

The man's expression became ugly.

Li Tianyu looked down at him.

"Time Path won't work on me."

The man's pupils contracted.

But he didn't answer.

Instead...

He activated another Gu worm.

A strange fluctuation spread outward.

Time accelerated.

Then—

Time suddenly stopped.

The surrounding leaves froze in midair.

The man's figure moved through the frozen surroundings.

Another Gu worm activated.

Time Freeze.

Then another.

A sharp fluctuation emerged.

A blade formed from distorted time shot toward Li Tianyu.

Time Blade.

One technique after another was unleashed.

Acceleration.

Time Stop.

Time Freeze.

Time Blade.

Various Time Path methods continued appearing.

Yet...

Nothing happened.

Li Tianyu remained standing in place.

He didn't slow down.

He didn't freeze.

He didn't stop.

The time blade passed through his defensive methods without producing the result the Gu Master expected.

Li Tianyu's expression remained calm.

The Gu Master became increasingly horrified.

'Impossible!'

'Why isn't it affecting him?!'

He gritted his teeth and continued activating his Gu worms.

But the result remained the same.

Li Tianyu simply watched.

His eyes gradually became colder.

After several exchanges...

He finally lost patience.

"Enough."

Li Tianyu raised his hand.

Boom!

Crimson flames erupted from the ground.

Several enormous chains of condensed flame shot upward.

The Gu Master attempted to escape.

But this time...

He was too slow.

The flaming chains wrapped around his body.

Five.

Ten.

His limbs were restrained.

His Gu worms continued struggling.

But the chains tightened.

Li Tianyu landed in front of him.

The man glared at him.

"Release me!"

Li Tianyu ignored him.

Instead, he calmly activated another killer move.

A strange movement of his hand caused the man's body to stiffen.

His resistance weakened.

Li Tianyu's gaze became cold.

"Now."

"Take out every Gu worm you possess."

The Gu Master clenched his teeth.

He desperately tried to resist.

But the control killer move forced his body to move.

One Gu worm after another emerged from his aperture.

Li Tianyu watched carefully.

"Remove your will from them."

The Gu Master resisted again.

His expression became twisted with hatred.

But eventually...

He complied.

One by one, the Gu worms were stripped of his will.

Once their connection with their original master was severed...

Li Tianyu immediately refined them.

Then he stored them inside his aperture.

The first batch.

Five Rank Three Time Path Gu worms.

Li Tianyu's eyes flashed.

Then came another two.

Rank Four.

His expression became slightly more interested.

But then—

The final Gu worm appeared.

The moment it emerged...

Li Tianyu's eyes narrowed.

Rank Five.

A Rank Five Time Path Gu worm.

'Not bad.'

This man's inheritance was clearly far more valuable than he had expected.

Li Tianyu immediately refined the Rank Five Gu worm as well.

With the man's will removed, the process was extremely quick.

After everything was finished...

Li Tianyu looked at the Gu Master.

The man's face was pale.

But his eyes still contained intense hatred.

Then he sighed.

The man's head exploded instantly.

His body collapsed.

The forest became silent.

He looked toward the direction from which the Gu Master had emerged.

His eyes narrowed.

'That inheritance...'

His Balanced Fortune Gu was still emitting a faint sensation.

The opportunity hadn't disappeared.

In fact...

It seemed even stronger than before.

Li Tianyu activated Ember Domain Perception once again.

His perception spread throughout the surrounding forest.

This time...

He noticed something.

A hidden fluctuation deep beneath the earth.

Li Tianyu's eyes brightened.

'So that's where it is.'

He slowly descended toward the forest.

The dead Gu Master's body was left behind.

Li Tianyu had already lost interest in him.

What mattered now...

Was the inheritance.

He looked toward the distant forest.

A faint smile appeared.

'Let's see what kind of inheritance could produce five Rank Three Time Path Gu worms, two Rank Four Gu worms...'

'And even a Rank Five.'

Li Tianyu's figure flashed.

He disappeared into the forest.
