Traditional publishing submissions

Get traditionally published with LitFic

LitFic is the serialised-fiction imprint of Ever After Press. This submission route is for authors seeking an exclusive traditional publishing agreement for a LitFic Original.

Choose the right publishing route

We can only publish a small number of LitFic Originals at a time, so we are highly selective. Submit here only if you want Ever After Press to publish your series under an exclusive traditional publishing agreement.

If you want to publish independently, you can post directly to The Commons with no application. You keep 100% of your rights and can unlock LitCoin earning once your series gains traction. We watch The Commons for stories readers love and may approach standout authors with an offer to become a LitFic Original.

What we're looking for

LitFic specialises in serialised fiction and webnovels, stories told in chapters, built to keep readers coming back. We love a strong hook, a clear voice, and tropes delivered with a fresh twist.

  • Original, unpublished work that you hold the rights to.
  • Serial-friendly structure, chapter breaks, cliffhangers, momentum.
  • A complete manuscript or a strong opening (first 3+ chapters) with a synopsis.
  • Genre fiction especially welcome (see the list to the right).
  • Any length, from novella-length serials to sprawling ongoing webnovels.

Why become a LitFic Original?

Anyone can self-publish to The Commons for free, but if your work is accepted as a LitFic Original, we invest in it alongside you:

  • Editorial support

Hands-on developmental and line editing from our team.

  • Cover artwork

A professional, on-brand cover designed for your story.

  • Promotion

Featuring on LitFic, plus advertising and marketing push.

  • Earn from day one

Charge LitCoins on premium chapters and make money immediately, no audience threshold to clear first.

  • Traditional publishing

An exclusive publishing partnership with Ever After Press, with each agreement tailored to the title.

  • Beyond the page

Where the story is the right fit, an Original may also be developed as an audiobook, a bite-sized drama or animation, a game, or a print edition through one of our traditional imprints. Additional formats vary by title.

How to submit

  1. 1

    Prepare your manuscript

Have your manuscript (or first few chapters plus a one-page synopsis) ready, along with your word count and the genre that fits best.

  2. 2

    Open the submission portal

Submissions for all our imprints go through the Ever After Press portal. Click the button below to open it.

  3. 3

    Select “LitFic” as your imprint

On the form there's an Imprint dropdown. Choose “LitFic.” This is how your manuscript reaches our editors rather than another imprint, the link below pre-selects it for you, but please double-check it says LitFic before sending.

  4. 4

    Submit and stay in touch

We read every submission with care, and you'll get a confirmation email straight away. As we receive a high volume of manuscripts, response times can vary. If you haven't heard from us within six weeks, please get in touch so we can check the status of your submission.

Ready when you are

The button opens the Ever After Press form with the LitFic imprint pre-selected.

Prefer to publish independently?

You do not need to submit a manuscript to publish on LitFic. Anyone can start a series in The Commons, keep 100% of their rights, and unlock LitCoin earning after building an audience. Successful Commons series may also be approached with an offer to become a LitFic Original. Only use this submission page if you want to pursue the traditional publishing route first.
