Synopsis

They call me wolfless. No wolf, no rank, no scent the bond can read, an omega the Ironcrest pack tolerates because someone has to scrub the floors and feed the strays. I had one hope left, that on my Choosing my fated mate would claim me anyway and I would finally belong to something. Instead Alpha Caine Ironcrest scented me, went still, and rejected me in front of the whole pack to take a stronger mate, the Hollowmoor heiress Selene Voss, and seal his precious alliance. He said the old words over a girl everyone swore had no wolf at all. The rejection scar burned to life at my throat. And then, under the full moon, bleeding and refused and certain I was nothing, the thing they all believed was missing finally woke. The wolf that rose out of me was white. There has not been a white wolf in three hundred years. The Moon Goddess only marks one, and the old story has a name for her, the one born wolfless and woken by a wound. Luna of all packs. Caine did not reject the omega. He rejected the prophecy. And now every pack in the Moonlands will court me, claim me, or kill for me, and the alpha who threw me away can feel exactly what he gave up, pulling on a bond he can no longer pretend was a mistake. I am not running back to him. I am building something of my own first. He can grovel under the same moon that finally chose me.
