Synopsis

I died at my desk and woke up as Duchess Seraphine Valois, the cruel villainess who, in the novel I'd been editing the night I collapsed, gets executed in chapter forty. The catch: the manuscript followed me into this world, and I can read ahead. The bigger catch: every time I change something, the story rewrites itself, and the new draft is always worse.
