Mike Leaving the Cabin….
Driving down the A6 towards home, Mike and Terry were silent as the reality of what was happening started to finally set in. Breaking the silence “ Mike asked himself out loud could my wife really be behind the Mummy Killings and could it be possible that the Unknown Killer is the original and he is still alive and just became active again?
Terry nearly snapped his neck and asked “ What now
“ Your heard me right, on the fourth killing of the mummy killer case , I found this earring at the scene
Okey, am sure there is thousands of them out there, “ Terry replied
No there isn’t, I designed these earrings for Leila as a birthday present and bought the copyright. So they would be one of a kind. Leila doesn’t know about this,” Mike Explained
“ Maybe she dropped it at the scene when we were there, investigating.
“ Not possible, I had her pulled off the case after the third killing, and this was there before any of turned up. There is no possible explanation for this being there, plus she has been acting really fucking weird since we had the fertility results back.
“ Shit are you sure Mike, this is a big fucking accusation to throw at your own wife.
“ Am sure, but I want to go and look over the evidence for both cases again, from start to finish. I need to be sure before I say anything out loud to her or anybody else.
“ What about the girls, shouldn’t we move them somewhere safe
“ No, Leila wouldn’t harm them, and her brothers are there, and I know how much they mean to her. They're safe for now.
As Mike and Terry arrived at the Lancaster police station, they pulled into the car park, exited the car, and walked towards the secure door at the back where criminals are taken to be processed and scanned their ID.
The door clicked and unlocked. Terry pulled the door open, and both men walked into the custody area, where they were greeted by PC Walker. “Evening, Officers
Both Mike and Terry just smiled and walked in silence to the evidence locker, where they saw PC Larry.
PC Larry was 72 years old and joined the force back in the 70s. He ended up in the evidence department due to an injury while on the job.
See, he had been walking home along the prom when he saw that Anita Marks had been grabbed, and the guy was pulling him towards the prom, where it was dark. Anita was shouting and begging to be let go, but this guy kept a good grip on her.
This is when Larry came across and shouted to the perp to let her go.
But within seconds, the perp had pulled a gun out and fired one shot at Larry, hitting his hip and shattering it. Leaving Larry laying in his own blood.
When the shot went off, it gave Anita a chance to kick the perp and run away, where she found someone with a phone and called 999, explaining what had just happened.
Police were on scene within 3 minutes. Larry was rushed to Lancaster Hospital when he had a full hip replacement. Anita was safe because of Larry.
Larry took over 6 weeks to recover, and he was placed in the evidence department, as he could no longer be on the beat and would need to retire if not.
“Welcome, detectives, how can I help you today?” Larry asked.
“ Hey, Larry, we need to see the evidence for the Unknown Killer Cases, the originals and the recent ones, plus the Mummy Killer cases.
“ You know the drill, boys, scan and sign, time and date.
Mike and Terry went to different sides of the evidence locker, each grabbed the evidence required then came back together in the middle of the room.
“ What are we looking for, “ Terry asked
“ Anything that connects these cases, just something doesn’t feel right.
“What, you're not thinking your wife has anything to do with the Unknown killing and The Mummy Killings, Right
“Am not sure
“ Hey boys, what you doing here so late, aren’t you supposed to be with everyone at the cabin.
“ Sally, I need to give you something and I need to process it, without Leila knowing.
I can trust you right? “ Mike asked Sally
“You can trust me Mike, what is this all about
“ This earring was found at the fourth victim's house, and its Leila’s, but she was already taken off the case by the third case. She wasn’t meant to be anywhere near the case or the fourth victim.
“Okey well there must be a perfectly good explanation,” Sally said
“ Nope, these are one of kind, I designed them for Leila as an birthday present and I bought the copyright, so there would always be one of a kind, “ Mike explained.
“ Now you know why we are quite concerned, and it seems that both the Mummy killing and the unknown killings are connected somehow.
We need a DNA profile built on Leila fast, “ Terry said
“Holy Shit, this is bad, “ Sally replied

“ We are also thinking that she used the police data base to get information on her victims, it’s the only way she would know so much
“Okey, I’ll get on with it now.
“Thank you, remember this is between us for now, Jesus fucking christ, PC Arnold came to me, to say that she caught Leila looking at pictures of her and her family. She said that she believes Leia needs to be checked out.
“What did you do,” asked Terry
“I got mad and told her to do one, that I would remember this moment,
“Shit, Mike. This could be bad for all Involved. What did Leila say when Arnold caught her?
“That her profile came up, on people she may know, but Arnold wasn’t having it, was convinced that she was stalking her family, and that she would be next

“She said that she believes Leila needs to be checked out as the Mummy Killer
“Let me, check the DNA first against the DNA for all of the killings both recent and past, before we accuse anyone of something we can't take fucking back,” Sally explained
