MIKE
As Mike entered his office, he sat down at his desk and noticed that there was a pink envelope on his desk with his name in capital letters.
As mike opened the letter, he pulled it out and opened it up, so Terry could see as well.
Letter
Detective Mike Lawson, it was so nice to see you again yesterday at my impressive crime scene. I hope I did you proud and it brought back lots of unhappy memories for you.
I thought I would let you know that I am back and I am going to make your life a living hell. You see you couldn’t catch me 20 years ago and I will make sure you don’t catch me now.

The Unknown Killer
“ What the fuck,” Detective Terry said out loud
“ Oh fuck, this is bad and I mean really bad. I knew that scene was familiar to me, when I walked into the second room,” Mike replied.
“ Come up to Mike’s Office now,” Terry said down the phone to Superintendent Goodman, CSI Sally.
Two minutes later Both Goodman and Sally entered the office
“ Close the door,” Mike demanded
“ What is going on,” asked Sally
“ Looks like an old friend is back to cause hell again,” Mike said placing the Letter on the desk so both Goodman and Sally could read.
“ This is bad Mike,” Sally responded
“ I want a full team on this right away,” Goodman demanded
“ We need to make sure Mike’s family is protected as well, as if the Killer is contacting him direct, then that means he may have been watching Mike all along
“ and Leila,” Goodman jumped in
“ Right now your family are being put under surveillance, so we can watch them and keep them safe. Just in case
“ Yes, Sir. Though I am not sure Leila will be happy with that. As she is already pissed at me for removing her from The Mummy Killer case,” Mike responded
Looking at Mike, Goodman asked, “Why?
“ Because she has been going through some personal stuff and right now isn’t up to dealing with the stuff we are dealing with. She needs time to process and heal and that is all I am saying about it,” Mike replied
Knock Knock
“ Come in,” Mike Shouted
“Hi, Sir, I’ve been sent up to collect the evidence from today’s crime scene,” PC Walsh explained
“ It’s fine, am here and I will take it with me on my way back down,” CSI Sally replied
“Oh, okey,” PC Walsh said looking like she was wanting to say something else
“ Anything else Officer,” Asked Detective Terry
“ No, Sir,” PC Walsh said looking at Mike
As the door closed, Sally made her feeling clear that she didn’t like nor trust that one, that there was something off about her and she acts like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth,” Sally finished
“ Do we know any background on her, like family. Is she married? Does she have children? What is her deal? , “ Mike demanded
Everyone looked at Mike as if he had gone mad
“ Look, we now have two serial killers on the loose and they aint connected at all. So from now on everyone is a suspect, I mean everyone,” Mike said after seeing their confused faces.
“ You really think that one of our own is responsible for these killing? Asked Superintendent Goodman
“ Only The Mummy Killer Case, and I have a horrible feeling that it may be someone closer than we think,” Mike replied.
“ Let’s get back to work and go over all of the evidence again, to see if we missed anything.
Also I want a taps on Mike’s phone and any post being delivered,” Goodman demanded as he left the office with Terry following behind him.
“ Sally did Leila come to see you yesterday at all? ,” Mike asked
“No, why? Well, except for when you and Terry came down together with her,” Sally replied
“ So she didn’t come to you in the evening to ask you do a DNA trace on her, as she is wanting to try and locate her father. As she has never met him and doesn’t even know his name,” Mike responded
“I can try by all means, but she never came to see me. Please tell Leila to come and see me as I would be happy to help,” said Sally
“ Thank you, I will let her know,” Mike replied
“ Why did you ask,” Sally enquired
“ No reason, just she has been a little off lately since we went to the doctors about not being able to conceive,” Mike replied.
As Sally was about to respond, her phone rang and she answered it
“Sally speaking
“I’ve got to take this, it’s important, but tell Leila to come and see me,” Sally said as she walked out of the door.
As Mike was sat going through his own throughts, and looking around the room. His eyes landed on the evidence from this morning's killing.
Mike got up and picked up the evidence bags one by one. Going through them, with great detail. Reaching the earring that was find on the floor of the Victim’s bedroom, Mike couldn’t help but think back to what Leila was wearing this morning when he last saw her.
Is it possible that this earring belong to Leila? Mike was thinking
“ Mike there has been another killing by the Unknown Killer, just called in now,” Terry came in saying
“ Where,” Mike demanded to know
“ You’re not going to like it, but it is two doors down from your home address, more than one victim and all positioned the same as the ones from the other day and the crime scene from 20 years ago,” Terry explained
On the way to the car, Mike bumped into Sally and explained what had just been called in and that we needed to go now. Mike explained to Sally that she was to assist straight away.
“ Let me just grab my stuff and I will meet you at the van,” Sally replied.
“ Sure, “ Mike said as he was running to the van
After five minutes, Sally had reached the van and placed her items in the back ready to go.
