Chapter 43 — Bloodfang Wolf Pack

Only a few dozen minutes of flight later...

Li Tianyu slowed down.

Ahead of him, a vast valley stretched between the mountains.

A massive wolf pack occupied the entire area.

Hundreds of ordinary wolves prowled through the forest.

Nearly three hundred Hundred Beast Kings moved among them, while thirty-seven Thousand Beast Kings guarded different sections of the territory.

And at the very center of the valley...

A gigantic wolf stood atop a rocky outcrop.

Its body was covered in dark crimson fur.

Two enormous blood-colored fangs protruded from its jaws, while a pair of crimson eyes coldly scanned the surroundings.

Myriad Beast King — Bloodfang Wolf King.

Li Tianyu stopped in midair.

His eyes swept across the valley.

'One Myriad Beast King.'

'Thirty-seven Thousand Beast Kings.'

'Nearly three hundred Hundred Beast Kings.'

'And several thousand ordinary wolves.'

A faint smile appeared on his face.

This was exactly the kind of target he was looking for.

He wasn't here to hunt the beasts themselves.

He was here for their Gu worms.

Li Tianyu slowly descended.

The Bloodfang Wolf King immediately noticed him.

Its ears twitched.

Its enormous head turned toward the sky.

A deep growl emerged from its throat.

"Roar!"

The roar spread throughout the valley.

Thousands of wolves immediately looked upward.

The pack became restless.

Some wolves bared their fangs.

Others lowered their bodies, preparing to leap.

Li Tianyu remained completely calm.

He immediately activated his killer move.

Fire Path Killer Move — Crimson Flame Bind.

Boom!

Crimson flames erupted from the ground.

Several dozen enormous chains of condensed flame shot upward.

They twisted through the forest before wrapping around a group of wolves.

The chains restrained a limited number of beasts.

Some were Hundred Beast Kings.

Others were ordinary wolves.

Li Tianyu didn't attempt to restrain the entire pack.

That was impossible.

The killer move had a limit.

He could only control one manageable group at a time.

The Bloodfang Wolf King noticed what was happening.

It immediately charged toward him.

Li Tianyu glanced at it.

'It's coming.'

He didn't panic.

He simply waited.

The moment the Bloodfang Wolf King entered his range...

Li Tianyu immediately ended Crimson Flame Bind.

The flaming chains disappeared.

The restrained wolves were released.

At almost the same moment, Li Tianyu activated Crimson Flame Soar.

His figure transformed into a crimson streak.

BOOM!

The Bloodfang Wolf King's enormous claw slammed into the ground where he had been standing.

The earth cracked.

Dust and debris flew into the air.

Li Tianyu had already escaped.

He flew toward another section of the valley.

The Bloodfang Wolf King roared angrily and pursued him.

But Li Tianyu didn't fight it.

He simply led it away from another group of wolves before suddenly changing direction.

The moment he created enough distance...

Crimson Flame Bind!

Boom!

Flaming chains erupted from the ground again.

Another group of wolves was restrained.

Li Tianyu's eyes flashed.

"Crimson Soul Snatch."

Flames erupted around his body.

They rapidly condensed into countless weapons.

Lances.

Swords.

Spears.

Fire blades.

Fireballs.

And countless other shapes.

The flames were precisely controlled.

Li Tianyu wasn't trying to kill the beasts.

Instead, he adjusted the strength of each weapon according to the target.

The stronger Hundred Beast Kings received stronger attacks.

The ordinary wolves received weaker ones.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Hundreds of flaming weapons rained down.

The wolves desperately activated their wild Gu worms.

Some summoned earth walls.

Others covered their bodies with thick layers of defensive energy.

Some relied on their powerful physical bodies.

But the attacks were too numerous.

Several flaming weapons pierced through the gaps in their defenses.

Boom!

Flames erupted inside their bodies.

The wolves howled in pain.

Yet they remained alive.

That was exactly what Li Tianyu wanted.

Then—

Whoosh!

A crimson flame sphere suddenly flew out from the body of an injured wolf.

Inside the sphere was a wild Gu worm.

Li Tianyu's eyes brightened.

The theft ability was built directly into his flame weapons.

Once the attack successfully stole a Gu worm...

The Gu worm would be expelled from the beast's body inside a ball of crimson flame.

Li Tianyu immediately intercepted it.

The flame sphere entered his aperture.

Another appeared.

Then another.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

One after another, the stolen Gu worms flew toward him.

Li Tianyu intercepted them all.

He didn't allow even a single one to escape.

Meanwhile, the Bloodfang Wolf King was rapidly approaching again.

Li Tianyu immediately ended Crimson Flame Bind.

The flaming chains vanished.

He activated Crimson Flame Soar once more.

His body shot into the sky.

The Bloodfang Wolf King leapt after him.

Its enormous claws tore through the air.

Li Tianyu narrowly avoided them.

He didn't counterattack.

Instead, he flew toward another section of the valley.

The Bloodfang Wolf King followed.

But after creating enough distance...

Li Tianyu suddenly turned.

He flew in the opposite direction.

The Bloodfang Wolf King continued chasing him for a moment before realizing that Li Tianyu had already moved toward another group.

By the time it returned...

Li Tianyu had already activated Crimson Flame Bind.

Another group was restrained.

"Crimson Soul Snatch."

Another storm of flaming weapons descended.

Another wave of wild Gu worms was stolen.

Another batch of flame spheres entered Li Tianyu's aperture.

Then the process repeated.

End Crimson Flame Bind.

Escape.

Find another group.

Activate Crimson Flame Bind.

Attack with Crimson Soul Snatch.

Collect the stolen Gu worms.

End the killer move.

Move again.

Again.

And again.

The Bloodfang Wolf King became increasingly furious.

Its roars echoed throughout the valley.

It charged after Li Tianyu repeatedly.

But Li Tianyu never allowed himself to become trapped.

Whenever the Myriad Beast King approached...

He fled.

Whenever he obtained enough distance...

He began harvesting another group.

He never attacked the Bloodfang Wolf King.

There was no reason to.

His current strength was nowhere near enough to injure a Myriad Beast King.

Even if he used his strongest methods...

The beast's terrifying natural defense would make his attacks largely meaningless.

His objective was the weaker beasts.

Their Gu worms were valuable enough.

Nearly an hour passed.

Finally...

Li Tianyu decided that he had harvested enough.

He stopped and checked his aperture.

The harvest was considerable.

63 Rank Three Gu worms.

1,924 Rank Two Gu worms.

14,870 Rank One Gu worms.

Li Tianyu glanced toward the Bloodfang Wolf King.

The enormous beast stood in the middle of the valley.

Its crimson eyes were filled with fury.

It had watched helplessly as Li Tianyu repeatedly entered its territory, harvested the Gu worms of its pack, and escaped before it could catch him.

Li Tianyu smiled faintly.

"That's enough."

He activated Crimson Flame Soar.

Crimson flames erupted beneath his feet.

His figure transformed into a streak of light and shot toward the distant sky.

"Roar!"

The Bloodfang Wolf King immediately gave chase.

But Li Tianyu had already accelerated to his maximum speed.

The distance between them rapidly increased.

Soon...

The Bloodfang Wolf King could no longer see him.

Li Tianyu disappeared beyond the mountains.

The valley gradually returned to silence.

The Bloodfang Wolf King remained where it was, staring toward the direction Li Tianyu had disappeared.

Its furious roar echoed through the forest.

Li Tianyu, however, was already far away.

Another harvest had been secured.
